Private Art LessonsPrivate lessons offer individualized, thoughtfully structured art instruction for children (ages 7+) through adults, tailored
​to each student’s goals, skill level, and learning style.
The focus is on building strong fine art foundations while nurturing students who can truly think like artists—observing closely, problem-solving creatively, and developing their own unique artistic voice. Lessons begin with essential art principles and techniques, reinforced through guided practice exercises before progressing into more fully developed projects.

Students who enroll in multi-week lesson series benefit from a deeper, more intentional learning experience. These students help guide the pace
of instruction and explore subjects in greater depth. At the conclusion of each series, we meet together to review progress and determine the next educational goal.

Instruction & ExperienceAll private lessons are taught by studio owner Kerry Pease Coble, an award-winning exhibiting painter with over 30 years of private teaching experience.

Kerry earned her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), with additional studies at Tyler School of Artand Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). She was also honored with a residency at the prestigious Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA.

Raised in a lifelong environment of artists and educators, Kerry brings a deep understanding of both creative practice and art education. Her father, the late David Pease, served as Dean at both Tyler School of Art and Yale School of Art, and his work is held in numerous major museum collections.

• 1 hour: $50 (teen & adult only)
