Private Lessons
Private lessons provide individualized art instruction for children (ages 6+) and adults. Our focus is on developing fine art skills but our goal is to create students who can "think like artists", problem solve and develop their own unique artistic vision. Lessons start with learning foundational art principles and techniques with practice exercises and optional homework. Students lead the pace but typically a project is completed in 1-3 sessions. We recommend a series of at least 6 lessons for each educational goal.
Once we receive your request, we will call to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. Please bring current work, or photos of artistic inspiration so that we can discuss your educational goals, media and subject preferences. We offer lessons in:

Student WorkLove the experience! Had so much fun! I learned so much when Kerry taught me how to paint my cat. Very highly recommended! I wanted to see what I could do artistically. Art Matters gave me the tools to try several mediums, and the courage to try. The instructors create an atmosphere where adults can relax and learn at the same time. When I say my daughter loves Art, and Art Matters, I really mean it! Her art teacher at school has commented that she is a bit more advanced than the rest of her class. We had a wonderful experience partnering with Kerry to offer a private art class for our school community. She made learning about various artists and techniques fun and interesting and our learners loved their afternoon of creativity. Kerry was kind, timely, and professional and I would highly recommend her to host any art class. Thank you so much for lending us your time and expertise! |
